- ------ EROS README FILE ------
-
- Welcome to WAVE Interactive and EROS.
-
-
- Please note the following instructions and guidelines for installing and
- using EROS.
-
- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-
- INSTALLATION
- ------------
-
- This program uses Apple's Quicktime for Windows to play back the movies you will
- see. A runtime copy is included on the EROS disc.
-
-
- You may begin installation of EROS in one of three ways:
-
- 1 -- From within the Windows File Manager - simply double click on the INSTALL.EXE
- file (located inside the "PC folder"), directly from the CD directory.
-
- 2 -- From the Windows Program Manager - Select Run from the File menu and type
- the full path to the PC directory on the CD-ROM drive and INSTALL.EXE
- i.e. G:\INSTALL.EXE
-
-
- The installation procedure will not copy ANY files to your hard drive but, will create
- a Program Group (WAVEInteractive) and Icons within the Group to facilitate play.
- Once your new icons are created you can click on the EROS icon to begin play.
- Allow 15-30 seconds for THE PROGRAM to load (this depends on the speed of your
- hardware). Once in THE PROGRAM, allow 2-7 seconds to respond to your selections.
- To exit the program at any time, press Alt-F4 or click on the QUIT
- button, this should stop movie play and return you to Windows.
-
-

- * Additional Color Comments:

- EROS can run in 8 Bit, 16 bit, or 24 bit color. To play this program in

- either 16 bit or 24 bit (Read your Video Card Manufacturers documentation for
- information regarding your current Video Card's color capabilities, you may
- require a new Video Card to run in higher color settings). Once you have selected
- your new driver, simply start the program as explained under INSTALLATION. You
- may receive a dialogue box warning you that "you may experience unexpected results
- when running in other than 16 or 256 colors (8 bit), simply click the YES button
